Dynatrace – Customer Features

Recently we worked with Dynatrace and Video Productions to film and edit two customer and partner testimonial videos.

Customer Feature: The Coop Denmark mobile loyalty program bolstered by Dynatrace AI: Jeppe Lindberg of Coop Denmark describes how Coop have digitally transformed their membership program to make life simpler for their customers. Supporting their mobile loyalty card service made up of cloud, mobile, hybrid, mainframe and several other services make it complex to manage. Using Dynatrace AI, Coop takes advantage of proactive problem resolution instead of reacting to hundreds of alerts. The result is a happy, differentiated customer experience and a highly positive impact on the business.

Partner Feature: HCL and Dynatrace: Kalyan Kumar, CTO at HCL talks about why they chose to partner with Dynatrace and how Dynatrace plays a critical role in their ability to provide a full stack application monitoring solution for their customers.

Turn Around When Possible (AKA Gremlin Attack!) Short Horror Thriller

Starring Megan Prescott, Christopher Dane and Holly Hoyland.

Military sounds chatter and static. Crackling voices over the ether. On a wooded road two girls are driving, lost amongst the endless forest, the road finally runs out. Strange noises surround them, the ferns begin to move, something is closing in… They are not alone in these woods.
The most critical part of this shoot was the location. We needed somewhere with an eerie looking road which led into a forest.

The production team and myself decided to recce the Bourne woods area around Frensham Pond. This is quite a renowned spot for film making (Gladiator, Children of Men, The Mummy etc)

We were very fortunate to stumble across the perfect road, and even more fortunate to be given permission to shoot there by the lovely owners Denise & Francis – so thanks again!

We started shooting on the few remaining warm days of the year, in October. We planned for a 2 day shoot, but after the first day we quickly realised that we would end up needing quite a bit more time. The light would drop off quickly at 5.30pm. On the second day we tried to shoot the ending at 5.00pm, the ISO was up to 5000 on the c300 and we could barely see our own feet, so we had to can that idea and re -schedule.

In fact we ended up going back on 4 different occasions for additional pick ups and cutaways – this became challenging as the forest ferns started to shrink back as we moved towards the end of October.

The next problem was the creature itself. We ended up shooting this several times to get the puppet part looking right. Massive thanks are due to Megan Prescott (our lead actress & producer) who stepped in with some great ideas for makeup/effects. She took the creature home and brought him back looking like she had pulled him straight out of the black lagoon. Complete with added drool and a lamb’s tongue.
Initially we wanted to use the puppet for everything (inspired by the 80′s practical horror genre) however our creature just wasn’t lifelike enough for wider shots. This is where the guys a the Northforge effects house came in – we were very fortunate to have them on board. The CG really made the creature come to life.

We’d also like to thank Daniel Pimley for his sound mix and Tristan Noon for the excellent score.
